The Minister stated that the incident has left a profound impact on the entire country, and there are no words to adequately explain or address such a distressing issue.
Regarding the incident, she informed that some arrests had already been made on Thursday, and she asserted her confidence that the perpetrators would be brought to justice.
Furthermore, Sitharaman mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had expressed the country’s collective shame over the disturbing incident in Manipur before the commencement of the Monsoon Session of Parliament on Thursday.
