Priyanka Gandhi attacks Modi over Manipur violence

Gwalior: In a public rally at Mela Maidan in Gwalior, Priyanka Gandhi criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his response to the violence in Manipur. She accused Modi of being quick to label opposition leaders as “thieves” but took 77 days to break his silence on the horrifying incidents in Manipur.

Priyanka mentioned that when Modi finally addressed the situation in Manipur, he mixed it with politics by naming states ruled by opposition parties, instead of solely focusing on the issue at hand.

During her rally in Gwalior, which is the bastion of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Priyanka Gandhi appealed to people to vote for a Congress government that can serve a full five-year term.

She also brought up the Agniveer Scheme, which holds significance in the Gwalior-Chambal region of Madhya Pradesh, known for contributing a substantial number of defense personnel.

In addition to criticizing the central government, Priyanka targeted the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led state government, alleging corruption in the Patwari Recruitment Exam.

She reiterated the Congress party’s five guarantees for the states and requested state party chief Kamal Nath to raise the monthly disabled pension to Rs 600 if the Congress returns to power in Madhya Pradesh.

Priyanka Gandhi expressed her concern about corruption within the BJP government and urged the people to make a decision about their future. She emphasized that it is crucial to choose between handing power to corrupt hands or a leader with a vision for the progress of Madhya Pradesh.
