Tragic Accident : 4 killed in accident near Chitradurga

Chitradurga: Tragedy struck near Chitradurga, Kote Nadu, as a horrifying accident unfolded on Sunday morning. A collision between a car and a lorry on National Highway 50, close to the Mallapur flyover on the outskirts of Chitradurga, resulted in the loss of four lives.

Among the victims was an 8-year-old child. This devastating incident claimed the lives of four individuals instantly, while three others sustained grave injuries and were subsequently hospitalized.

K. Parashuram, the District Superintendent of Police, provided details, indicating that the car had rear-ended a lorry en route from Hospet to Bangalore. The deceased have been identified as Bhima Shankar (26 years), a resident of Vijayapur, Sangana Basappa (36 years), who was the car’s driver, Rekha (29 years), and Agastya (8 years). The unfortunate accident also left Sangana Basappa’s children, Anvita (6 years old) and Adarsh (4 years old), along with a relative, Bhima Shankar (26 years old), injured.

Reports suggest that the group was on a trip to Chikkamagaluru, accompanied by their family members, when this tragedy occurred.
