UP DyCM wants ‘kar seva like Ayodhya’ in Shringverpur Dhaam

lucknow: Uttar Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister, Keshav Prasad Maurya, has expressed a desire for a “kar seva” similar to that carried out in Ayodhya, but this time for the Shringverpur Dhaam area. These remarks by Maurya have gained significance due to their timing, as they were made following controversial comments by Sanjay Nishad, a Uttar Pradesh minister and leader of the Nishad party. Nishad had claimed that the mosque located within the Nishadraj Fort in Prayagraj was “illegal,” and he urged Muslims to engage in dialogue to find a solution for the issue.

Maurya made these statements during an event organized by the Nishad party in Gorakhpur. The Nishad Party has put forward its demand for the distribution of election tickets in proportion to the population of the Nishad community in the state.

Shringverpur Dhaam holds special significance for the Nishad community as it is believed to be the dwelling place of Nishadraj, the leader of a riverine clan who aided Lord Ram in crossing the Ganga River during his 14-year exile.

Referring to Sanjay Nishad’s action of bringing soil from Nishadraj Fort in Prayagraj, Maurya encouraged attendees to take an oath with this sacred soil. He expressed his hope that when Nishadraj Dhaam is established, a kar seva (voluntary service) similar to the one undertaken for temple construction in Ayodhya will also be carried out for Shringverpur Dhaam.

Sanjay Nishad, the leader of the Nishad party and also Uttar Pradesh’s Fisheries Minister, emphasized that the presence of Nishad Raj, along with the ideals of Ram Rajya (the reign of Lord Ram), would contribute to the betterment of society.

Brajesh Pathak, the Deputy Chief Minister, highlighted the importance of the Nishad party as a significant partner within the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) that has strengthened itself over the past eight years.

During the event, Bhupendra Chaudhary, the State BJP Chief, focused on the improved law and order situation in the region.
