If Congress govt is formed at the Centre, we will start caste census in country, says Rahul

Jaipur: In a election rally, Rahul Gandhi asserted that if the Congress government comes to power at the Centre, a caste census will be initiated in the country. Taking a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gandhi claimed that Modi’s guarantee equates to Adani’s guarantee, while the Congress promises a government for farmers, laborers, and the youth. Gandhi emphasized the Congress’s commitment to transferring money to the pockets of the poor and criticized the alleged preference for business interests over the welfare of the common people.

Gandhi also announced the Congress party’s plan to conduct a caste census survey in Rajasthan and assured that the process would commence immediately upon the party’s assumption of power at the national level. He reiterated the party’s dedication to empowering backward classes, Dalits, and tribals.

Addressing the crowd, Gandhi accused BJP leaders of spreading hatred and pledged that the Congress would counteract this by promoting unity. He highlighted the party’s achievements, including the implementation of the Old Pension Scheme, the establishment of English medium schools, new colleges, and universities.

Rahul Gandhi listed seven guarantees offered by the Congress in the upcoming elections, ranging from financial assistance to women, affordable gas cylinders, insurance coverage, English medium education for all, free laptops for government college students, legal guarantees for government employee pensions, to purchasing cow dung from villagers at a fair price.

In his closing statements, Gandhi urged the audience to choose between a government led by Adani or one focused on farmers, laborers, and the youth. He cautioned that a BJP government would potentially reverse the benefits provided by the Congress and favor billionaires, whereas a Congress government would prioritize the well-being of the poor, farmers, and small traders. Gandhi underscored the importance of the upcoming choice and called for the public to decide between these contrasting visions for the nation’s future.
