New Delhi: A significant fire erupted at a footwear factory located in the Bawana area of outer Delhi, requiring the deployment of 29 fire tenders for an overnight operation, as confirmed by a fire department official on Sunday.
Atul Garg, the Director of Delhi Fire Services (DFS), provided details, stating that the call reporting the blaze at a factory in sector-1, Bawana Industrial area, came in at 10:14 p.m. on Saturday.
“Responding promptly to the call, fire tenders were dispatched to the scene. A total of 29 fire tenders were mobilized to the site, successfully extinguishing the flames,” said Garg.
Remarkably, there were no reported injuries resulting from the incident. Garg specified that the fire occurred in a footwear godown in the basement of the factory, which encompassed a structure with a basement, ground floor, and two additional storeys, spanning an area of 150 square meters. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
