Gandhinagar: In a significant move, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Gujarat welcomed over 1,500 leaders into its ranks, including notable figures from the Congress party. The induction ceremony, marked by the symbolic donning of the BJP’s saffron cap and scarf, took place at the state party headquarters, Shri Kamalam.
Gujarat unit BJP chief CR Paatil, who graced the event, expressed optimism about the collective progress. He stated, “We will move forward together, and by strengthening Gujarat, we will strengthen the country.”
Prominent leaders making the switch to the BJP included Indrajitsinh Thakor, former MLA from Mahudha constituency; Vipul Patel, former president of Sabarkantha Congress; Sudhir Patel, former President of the Yuva Congress and Himmat Nagar Marketing Yard; Vinod Chaudhary, former President of the Kheralu Taluka Congress; and Jiteandra Singh Parmar of Congress, among others.
