MP BJP executive meet in Orchha on July 18-19

Bhopal, July 7 (IANS) The Madhya Pradesh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will hold its two-day State Executive Committee meeting in Orchha on July 18 and 19, during which the ruling party is expected to focus on organisational strengthening, booth-level preparedness, and its political strategy for the coming months.

The meeting assumes significance as it will be the first major State Executive Committee meeting to be chaired by state BJP president Hemant Khandelwal after he completed one year at the helm of the Madhya Pradesh unit. It is expected to set the organisational agenda under his leadership and outline the party’s roadmap for the coming months.

According to BJP State Media In-charge Ashish Usha Agrawal, the meeting will provide party workers with an opportunity to receive guidance from the senior leadership.

He said this will be the first State Executive Committee meeting under the leadership of state BJP president Khandelwal. Detailed discussions will be held on organisational issues, strengthening the booth, organisational expansion, training, effective implementation of public welfare schemes, and future political and organisational strategies.

The meeting will be attended by 106 members of the State Executive Committee and 41 permanent invitees. State office-bearers, divisional and district in-charges, presidents of various BJP Morchas and convenors of different organisational cells will also participate as special invitees.

Khandelwal, who took over as the state BJP chief from V.D. Sharma on July 2, 2025, is expected to use the meeting to set the tone for the party’s next phase of organisational work in Madhya Pradesh. Senior BJP leaders are also expected to guide office-bearers and workers on the party’s future organisational and political programmes.

The executive committee is expected to deliberate on strengthening booth-level committees, expanding the organisation, training party workers, reviewing the implementation of public welfare schemes and enhancing coordination between the organisation and the government.

The BJP believes the meeting will help prepare its cadre for upcoming political programmes while further consolidating the party’s grassroots network across Madhya Pradesh.
