Manila: The devastating landslide that struck villages in Davao de Oro province, southern Philippines, earlier this week has claimed the lives of 27 individuals, with 89 individuals still unaccounted for, according to authorities.
In an updated statement released by the Maco municipal government, it was reported that 32 individuals have been rescued from the aftermath of the landslide. The catastrophic event unfolded on Tuesday night near a mining site in Maco town, burying several houses and two buses used to transport miners from the area.
