Gaza: The Palestinian death toll resulting from ongoing Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip has surged to a staggering 27,947, as reported by the Hamas-run Health Ministry.
In a press statement issued on Friday, the Ministry disclosed that a total of 67,459 Palestinians have sustained injuries in the coastal enclave since the eruption of the Israel-Hamas conflict in October last year, according to the news agency.
The Ministry further highlighted the grim reality of the situation, indicating that Israeli forces have inflicted casualties with 107 Palestinians killed and 142 others wounded within the past 24 hours alone. Tragically, some victims remain trapped under the rubble amidst relentless bombardment, exacerbated by a dire shortage of civil defense and ambulance crews.
Eyewitnesses and Palestinian security sources have attested to the intensity of the assaults, citing Israeli airstrikes targeting residential homes across various neighborhoods in Gaza City, including al-Rimal, al-Sabra, al-Zaytoun, Tal al-Hawa, and Sheikh Ajlin.
