New Delhi: A massive fire ravaged a slum cluster in Delhi’s Shahbad village area, resulting in the destruction of over 100 huts, authorities confirmed. Director of Delhi Fire Service (DFS), Atul Garg, stated that the blaze was reported at 10:17 p.m. on Sunday.
In response, 15 fire tenders were swiftly dispatched to the scene, successfully extinguishing the flames. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries reported in the incident.
While the extent of the damage was significant, with approximately 130 huts reduced to ashes, the prompt response of the firefighters prevented further escalation of the tragedy.
