Bhopal: Authorities in Madhya Pradesh have revealed the discovery of an explosive device at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) office in Bhind district, which was successfully defused later on.
The device was detected on Saturday night by an attentive office attendant, Ram Mohan, stationed at the RSS office located in the Hanuman Bajaria residential colony within the district. Prompt action was taken as local police were immediately notified of the alarming find.
Bhind SP Ashit Yadav, accompanied by a team of law enforcement personnel, swiftly arrived at the scene around midnight. Additionally, a specialized bomb disposal squad from the neighboring district of Morena was summoned to handle the delicate situation. Thanks to their expertise, the device was safely disposed of, averting potential disaster.
According to a senior police officer, the explosive device, resembling a pin bomb, was discovered near the area where the Sangh office’s flag was installed. Authorities have seized the device as part of ongoing investigations into the incident.
Fortunately, the RSS office was unoccupied at the time of the discovery, as the ‘pracharaks’ and ‘vistaraks’ had traveled to Indore for a scheduled meeting, as confirmed by officials.
