“After BJP came to power in West Bengal in 2026, the state party president Samik Bhattacharya made it clear through his behaviour that he will give due respect to the original leaders. The release of the list of BJP spokespersons on Monday proved that he kept his word. Inclusion of seasoned leaders like Sayantan Bose and Keya Ghosh, among the spokesperson, proves Bhattacharya’s commitment in the matter,” a Kolkata-based political observer said.
