Jordan and US Collaborate on Historic Humanitarian Airdrops to Gaza

Gaza: In a landmark display of international cooperation, Jordan and the United States have joined forces to conduct airdrops of essential aid to Gaza, marking the first-ever participation of the US in such a multinational humanitarian endeavor.

According to reports from the state-run Petra news agency, two aircraft dispatched by the Jordan Armed Forces carried out airdrops in the northern Gaza Strip, while three aircraft from the US Air Force conducted similar operations in the south.

The US Air Force disclosed that its three planes dropped 66 bundles comprising approximately 38,000 meals, as reported by news agency.

Jordan’s involvement in delivering supplies directly to Gaza and providing aid flights to Egypt’s North Sinai has been ongoing since November of the previous year. These efforts frequently entail collaboration with other nations, including the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, France, and Britain, among others.

This joint humanitarian initiative underscores the commitment of both Jordan and the US to alleviate suffering and support vulnerable populations, particularly in regions facing ongoing challenges and humanitarian crises like Gaza.
