Kiev: In a operation, Ukrainian Special Forces, in collaboration with the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU), Special Operations Forces, and Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, launched a drone attack on Russia’s Slavyansk-on-Kuban oil refinery in Krasnodar Krai.
According to reports from a media source within the SSU, the attack targeted the atmospheric distillation towers, resulting in a significant fire at the refinery. The source hailed the operation as successful, highlighting that this marks the latest in a series of strikes by SSU drones on Russian oil refineries, with 12 such attacks reported recently.
Describing the impact, the source humorously remarked that the Russian acronym for ‘refinery’ (NPZ) now humorously translates to ‘New Plant Zapped,’ reflecting the effectiveness of the strikes.
