Coconut Chutney | Simple, Healthier, Creamier

Coconut chutney is one of the famous south indian side dish. It is very simple and easy to make. This is one of traditional, healthy and delicious chutney too. Coconut chutney can serve for breakfast like idli, dosa etc. and evening snacks like pakoda, buns etc.

 

The coconut chutney is blended with coconut, green chilly, and tamarind. This recipe not followed many ingredients.  Spicy people can add more green chillies. Coconut and tamarind will be nice combination for this chutney. Tampering gives nice aroma to this simple recipe.

Usually chutney shelf life is one day. If it is hot place you can serve within half day. If tamarind is added to chutney it will increase the shelf life. If tamarind is hard you need soak five minutes with hot water. I prefer fresh coconut but If you are using frozen coconut add warm water while grinding.

The coconut chutney is no garlic and no onion recipe. We can do any time any occasion. We can add dal, onion, garlic and more ingredients but plain coconut chutney is good in taste.

Fresh coconut is very good for our body. Chutney is good for heart and weight loss. Fresh coconut saturates our body fat and improves good cholesterol in body. Coconut is high in nutrients contains protein minerals, vitamins. Coconut maintains blood sugar because it is low in carbs and high in fiber. Coconut contains antioxidant so it protects our cells.
