Wheat Dosa

Wheat dosa is one of the traditional and authentic recipes. Usually people make dosa from wheat flour, but I prepared dosa from whole wheat. Whole wheat dosa is a very simple recipe. It is easy to prepare and instantly we can make the batter. Initially my husband did not love whole wheat dosa, but nowadays he is also liking whole wheat dosa. That’s why I like to share the whole wheat dosa recipe with you.

My version of dosa batter is very simple and does not need much ingredients and preparation. If you do not have time, you still want a healthy breakfast or dinner then this dosa is the best option. If you are in a hurry or have a busy schedule, whole wheat dosa is rescued from the junk food.

I soaked whole wheat for an hour because it helps to grind. Sometimes I do not have time, then I will directly grind and prepare the batter. Whole wheat no need to soak. The batter will be sticky when you soak more time. This batter does not need any rice, dal and no fermentation. While making the batter you can add some grated coconut for more taste and flavor.

I will always use the iron cast tawa for preparing this whole wheat dosa because it gives more taste and for health also it’s too good. Tam always applies ghee on top because it is also good for health, reduces fat and gives a nice aroma and taste to the crispy dosa. The whole wheat dosa is served with chutney, sambar or jaggery syrup and honey. I personally prefer honey or jaggery syrup for this crispy whole wheat dosa. When i prepare this dosa in my home, it does not require any side dish like chutney honey is enough. So this batter helps on busy days or lazy days.

Try my version of whole wheat dosa and enjoy the crispy dosa. Thank you guys for coming here and catching my recipes. I am overwhelmed by your support and valuable feedback. Follow me on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and all the links are mentioned below. Love you all.
