AAP alleges misappropriation of Rs 11K cr by Karnataka govt

Bengaluru: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has alleged misappropriation of Rs 11,130 crore by the Congress-led government in Karnataka. AAP’s Karnataka SC and ST Wing President, Purushottam, accused the Siddaramaiah government of diverting funds meant for SC and ST programs, which are intended for the development and welfare of the Dalit community, to fulfill other guarantees. He called this act an injustice to the Dalit community and criticized the government for not using the funds as intended.

Purushottam pointed out that the Dalit community had elected the Congress government to power over the BJP, which was also accused of misusing funds meant for the Dalit community. He expressed disappointment that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who had been praised for allocating additional resources for SC and ST programs in previous budgets, was now facing criticism from the Dalit community.

Suresh Rathod, another leader from the AAP, announced a statewide protest against the alleged injustice to the Dalit community. The protest is planned to be held at Freedom Park in the city on August 5th, Saturday. Rathod mentioned that many Dalit organizations have shown their support for this protest. The AAP leaders vowed to fight for the rights of the Dalit community and raise their voice against the government’s actions.
