Mumbai, July 31 (IANS) Actress Akanksha Chamola lashed out at fellow Lock Upp contestant Shreya Kalra after learning that the latter had allegedly made remarks about her divorce from actor Gaurav Khanna.
Akanksha, accusing Shreya of passing judgment on a deeply personal matter without knowing either of them, lashed out on her for passing judgments without knowing anything about their equation.
During a heated argument inside the reality show house, Akanksha questioned Shreya for referring to Gaurav with respect while allegedly portraying her negatively. “How much do you know Gaurav? Do you know him outside? Are you his friend? Why is he Gaurav Ji’ to you? And why am I the witch?!” Akanksha asked.
The actress further alleged that she was informed Shreya had said it was “good” that she and Gaurav were getting divorced because the actor “didn’t deserve that girl.”
Calling out the alleged remarks, Akanksha said, “Who are you to say this? Do you know my relationship with him? You are speaking as his advocate! Why?!.”
Shreya denied making the statements and urged Akanksha not to believe everything she heard from others.
Shreya also maintained that she had not intended to comment on the couple’s relationship and tried to explain her side of the story.
Refusing to let the matter slide, Akanksha said that making comments on someone’s failed marriage was extremely insensitive.
“If I were to pass comments on your exes and you, how would that look and make you feel,” asked Akanksha.
“You are playing with my emotions because my emotions are genuine,” Akanksha said.
The confrontation later spilled over with Akanksha accusing Shreya of changing her stand after another contestant entered the conversation. She also blamed Shreya for trying to project a good image before the audience despite cameras capturing everything.
The exchange ended with Akanksha taking a sharp dig at Shreya’s gameplay.
She said, “I would respect you if you accept that yes, even if you have to be the vano for the game, be it! My respect for you will only increase.”
