Lucknow : Tragedy struck in Lucknow as a fire engulfed a two-storey residential building in the Hata Hazrat Saheb area of Kakori on the outskirts of the city late Tuesday night, claiming the lives of five individuals. The fire, which erupted suddenly, was compounded by an explosion from a gas cylinder, trapping occupants inside as flames rapidly consumed the structure. The victims, identified as Musheer Ali (50), his wife Husna Bano (45), and their nieces Raiya (5), Hiba (2), and Huma (3), tragically perished in the blaze. Thankfully, four others, including Musheer's daughters, were rescued by fire brigade personnel and rushed to the Trauma Centre of KGMU in critical condition.
