Ayodhya : In a remarkable display of devotion, devotees from across the globe contributed Rs 3.17 crore online to Lord Ram on the inaugural day after the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony. Anil Mishra, trustee of Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, disclosed that 10 donation counters were set up, and countless online donations poured in.
Mishra revealed that over half a million devotees visited the temple on both Tuesday and Wednesday. The total online contributions for Tuesday, along with Wednesday’s collections, will be unveiled the following day after tabulation. Physical donations made during the week will be tallied every Monday.
Ensuring a well-organized temple visit, arrangements are underway in collaboration with the administration, according to Mishra. RSS general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale held a meeting with Trust officials, instructing Sangh workers in Ayodhya to assist in maintaining temple cleanliness and facilitating organized darshan.
In a heartwarming gesture, the Ashok Singhal Foundation, expressing gratitude for participating in the historic Pran Pratishtha ceremony, announced its contribution to the Ram Mandir construction. The Foundation distributed a biography of Ashok Singhal, a Ram Stambh brochure, and a Lord Shri Ram dedicated silver coin to all attendees of the ceremony on January 22, 2024.
Mahesh Bhagchandka, trustee of the Ashok Singhal Foundation, and his wife, Sunita Bhagchandka, performed the ‘puja’ ceremony as Yajman from January 18 to 21, completing all sacred rituals.
