Ayodhya: Exciting developments are underway in Ayodhya as plans emerge to transform one of the banks of the serene Saryu river into a bustling beach, akin to the famed ‘chowpatties’. Confirming this initiative, an official revealed that the Uttar Pradesh Housing Department has greenlit the proposal put forth by the local development authority to establish this waterfront attraction at Ram Ki Paidi.
The Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) has already commenced preparations, focusing on ensuring a diverse range of hygienically prepared food items for visitors. A senior authority figure elaborated on the vision, highlighting the intention to create a vibrant space with temporary structures, designated food zones housing carts, and sheltered areas under canopies or pergolas.
To kickstart the project, a tender has been floated, with the selected agency tasked with completing civil works within six months. Once completed, the space will be allocated to food vendors, fostering a dynamic culinary scene along the riverside. With a substantial budget of nearly Rs 4.66 crore earmarked for the endeavor, the comprehensive plan includes provisions for electrification, sanitation, firefighting facilities, water supply, horticulture, parking zones, and paved entry routes.
Moreover, the contractor will be responsible for creating seating arrangements for a minimum of 50 individuals, ensuring that visitors can relax and savor their culinary experiences amidst the picturesque setting of Ayodhya’s riverfront.
