Bengaluru: The BJP has raised concerns over suspected terrorist links in Karnataka following the police detention of two individuals, with party leaders calling for a comprehensive investigation into the alleged networks and their supporters.
BJP Legislative Council member C.T. Ravi said the large-scale supply of narcotics, coupled with the discovery of suspected terrorist sleeper cells and their alleged facilitators, were issues that required serious attention.
Referring to reports of suspected terror links in Kalaburagi, the home district of Karnataka Home Minister Priyank Kharge, Ravi said the matter should not be taken lightly. He called for firm action against those found involved in unlawful activities.
Ravi demanded a detailed investigation to identify individuals allegedly supporting terrorist organisations, providing them with financial assistance or maintaining links with them.

He also urged investigators to examine whether other organisations were involved in activities that facilitated or supported terrorism.
The BJP leader called for the alleged network to be fully exposed and demanded decisive measures to eliminate terrorist activities at their roots.
His remarks come amid heightened attention to suspected terror links in the state. The extent of any wider network and the involvement of other individuals or organisations remain matters for investigation.
