New Delhi: The Congress party is planning to organize an event called ‘Adivasi Gaurav Parv’ on August 9. Congress General Secretary in-charge (Organisation), K.C. Venugopal, has written to all Pradesh Congress Committees (PCCs) to coordinate the arrangements.
The event aims to honor the rich cultural heritage of tribal communities and recognize their role as custodians of a sustainable world. It will also serve as an opportunity for Congress to show support for the Adivasis and raise their voice against the alleged mistreatment, insults, and deprivation of their rights under the current BJP regime.
The state units have been instructed to hold ‘Adivasi Gaurav Mahasabha’ at locations that hold historical or traditional significance for the Adivasi communities. Additionally, mega rallies will be organized to highlight the Congress party’s contributions towards the betterment of the Adivasis.
In essence, the ‘Adivasi Gaurav Parv’ seeks to celebrate the cultural heritage and contributions of tribal communities while also serving as a platform for Congress to express solidarity and advocate for the rights and welfare of the Adivasis.
