Manila: The devastating landslide that struck villages in Davao de Oro province, southern Philippines, has claimed the lives of 35 individuals, up from the previous count of 27, according to authorities. Additionally, 77 people remain missing in the aftermath of the disaster.
The Maco municipal government disclosed on Saturday that 32 individuals have been rescued from the landslide, which occurred near a mining site in Maco town on Tuesday night. The landslide engulfed numerous houses and vehicles, including two buses used to transport miners to the site.
