Bengaluru: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Karnataka unit has called upon the Congress-led government to designate January 22 as a public holiday in honor of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya.
State President B.Y. Vijayendra expressed on Friday that January 22 holds immense historical significance and should be etched as an unforgettable day in the country’s history. He urged Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to recognize the importance of Ram Pranpratishtha and declare it a public holiday for all.
Vijayendra emphasized that providing a day off would enable millions of devotees to joyfully partake in this landmark occasion with their families, engaging in holy rituals and Poojas without any inconvenience.
He further stated, “Let’s come together to witness the historic Pran Pratishtha of Prabhu Shri Ram at Ayodhya.”
