
New Delhi: On a chilly morning in Delhi, the minimum temperature dropped to 7.6 degrees Celsius, enveloping the national capital in fog. The India Meteorological Department reported the persistent ‘severe’ air quality, urging caution, especially for senior citizens and children to limit outdoor activities.
The forecast for Sunday anticipates a maximum temperature of around 24 degrees Celsius with mainly clear skies. Despite the cold, the air quality in various locations remains a cause for concern.
Anand Vihar recorded ‘severe’ levels with PM 2.5 at 500, PM 10 at 472, and NO2 at 124, categorized as ‘moderate’ by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
Bawana station reported ‘severe’ levels with PM 2.5 at 470, PM 10 at 428, and CO at 108, considered ‘moderate.’
Dwarka Sector 8 monitoring station displayed ‘severe’ conditions with PM 2.5 at 500, PM 10 at 467, NO2 at 142, and CO at 129, both in the ‘moderate’ range.
The ITO station recorded ‘severe’ AQI with PM 2.5 at 500, PM 10 at 451, NO2 at 118, and CO at 141, all falling into the ‘moderate’ category.
Okhla Phase-II marked ‘severe’ levels with PM 2.5 and PM 10 both at 500, while NO2 reached 140, classified as ‘moderate.’
At the IGI Airport monitoring station, PM 2.5 was at 459, PM 10 at 411, and CO at 122, all in the ‘severe’ and ‘moderate’ categories.
