Jaipur, May 30 (IANS) Tiffany Trump, the younger daughter of US President Donald Trump, is scheduled to arrive in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer on Sunday along with her husband Michael Boulos, aboard a chartered flight.
The high-profile private visit has prompted extensive security arrangements across the desert city, with authorities maintaining heightened vigilance given Jaisalmer’s proximity to the India-Pakistan border.
The couple is expected to stay at the luxury Suryagarh Hotel during their visit.
During her stay, Tiffany Trump is scheduled to explore some of Jaisalmer’s iconic heritage landmarks, including the world-famous Sonar Fort (Jaisalmer Fort), Patwon Ki Haveli, and Gadisar Lake.
She is expected to leave from Jaisalmer on Monday.
Tiffany Trump and Michael Boulos began their India visit in New Delhi.
On Friday, the couple visited the Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple, where Tiffany shared photographs of the temple’s architecture and grandeur on social media platform X.
On Saturday, the couple travelled to Agra and visited the Taj Mahal, where they posed for photographs at the UNESCO World Heritage monument.
The Jaisalmer district administration and police have ramped up security measures in view of the visit.
Since Jaisalmer is a sensitive border district, authorities are closely monitoring security arrangements at tourist sites and locations connected with the visit.
Sources said intelligence agencies are also coordinating with local authorities, while preparations for traffic regulation and route management are underway to ensure smooth movement.
The visit has generated considerable excitement among stakeholders in Jaisalmer’s tourism industry, including hotel operators and tour guides.
Many in the tourism sector believe that the visit of a member of the Trump family could further strengthen Jaisalmer’s international visibility and boost interest among foreign travellers.
This is not the first visit by a member of the Trump family to Jaisalmer.
In November 2018, Jared Kushner, husband of Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump and the then Senior Advisor to the White House, visited the city to attend a high-profile wedding at Suryagarh Hotel.
During that visit, Rajasthan Police and the US security personnel coordinated extensive security arrangements around the venue.
