Former Karnataka CM Calls for NIA Probe into Bengaluru Cafe Blast

Bengaluru: Former Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has raised alarm over what he believes to be a significant conspiracy behind the recent IED blast at the Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru. Bommai emphasized that dismissing the incident lightly would only embolden terrorists.

In a stern warning, Bommai urged authorities to refer the matter to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for a thorough investigation. Expressing concern over the state government’s response, he criticized their failure to grasp the gravity of the situation, particularly considering the serious injuries sustained by citizens in the explosion.

“The characterization of this incident as a mild explosion is concerning. Should we wait for casualties before acknowledging the severity?” questioned Bommai, highlighting the presence of a substantial sleeper cell behind the blast.

Pointing out the disturbing trend of miscreants espousing pro-Pakistan sentiments, Bommai underscored the interconnectedness of various incidents, suggesting a larger, orchestrated conspiracy at play. He reiterated the urgency of involving the NIA for an exhaustive inquiry, citing the potential for uncovering crucial information.

Bommai’s call for a thorough investigation underscores the need for swift and decisive action in unraveling the complexities surrounding the Bengaluru cafe blast and ensuring the safety and security of the populace.
