
Islamabad: A horrific train accident occurred near Nawabshah in Pakistan when ten bogies of the Hazara Express derailed, resulting in a devastating toll of 15 fatalities and leaving 50 others injured. Railways Divisional Superintendent Sukkur Mahmoodur Rahman reported the incident to Geo TV.
The injured passengers were immediately rushed to the People’s Medical Hospital in Nawabshah for urgent medical attention. Rescue teams are tirelessly working to extricate passengers from the affected bogies. Another train from the Loco Shed Rohri is en route to the crash site, but it is expected to take approximately three hours to reach the location, according to Rahman.
The derailment has also led to the suspension of traffic on the up track, further complicating the situation. As of now, the reason behind the tragic accident remains unknown, and investigations are underway to determine the cause.
