New Delhi: In a truly historic moment, Vice-President Dhankhar proudly hoisted the National Flag at the new Parliament Building, setting the stage for the upcoming five-day special Parliament session commencing on September 18. The ceremony witnessed the presence of eminent dignitaries, including Rajya Sabha Chairman, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi, and Union ministers V Muraleedharan, Piyush Goyal, and Arjun Ram Meghwal. Notably, Congress MPs Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury and Pramod Tiwari also graced the occasion.
In his address to the media, Vice-President Dhankhar expressed the significance of the moment, stating, “It is a historic moment. Bharat is witnessing epochal change. The world is in total recognition of the might, power, and contribution of Bharat. We are living in times where we are witnessing development and achievements which we never dreamt of…”
