Israeli Forces Eliminate Hamas Rocket Unit Chief in Gaza

Gaza: In a recent operation within the central Gaza Strip, the Israeli military has confirmed the successful elimination of the chief of the Hamas rocket unit. IDF spokesperson Avichay Adraee announced the operation via social media, stating that Amar Atiya Darwish Aladini, responsible for overseeing the Hamas rocket unit in central Gaza, was targeted based on intelligence provided by the Military Intelligence Directorate and Shin Bet security service.

Aladini, described as a longstanding member of Hamas with decades of involvement, played a significant role in equipping rockets and orchestrating attacks against Israeli forces. Notably, he was linked to rocket launches dating back to the 2008 IDF operation Cast Lead in Gaza and was allegedly involved in a significant attack on October 7 last year.

The IDF spokesperson highlighted recent airstrikes targeting Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad sites in northern Gaza, including locations used for hiding, storing combat equipment, and launching attacks. Hamas has yet to comment on Aladini’s elimination.
