

Mumbai, September 4 (IANS) Actress and politician Kangana Ranaut celebrated Janmashtami by preparing ‘Prasad’ for Lord Krishna at her home in Mandi.
Taking a nostalgic trip down memory lane, she recalled of making the festive offering in the same kitchen during her childhood.
Kangana Ranaut shared a video on her social media account in which she is seen preparing the prasad in her kitchen.
She also extended Janmashtami greetings to her followers and shared that the festival holds a special connection with her childhood memories.
Speaking in Hindi, she said which further transcribed in English, “Jai Shri Krishna. Today, on the occasion of Janmashtami, I am at my mother’s home in Mandi. This is the same kitchen in Mandi where we used to make prasad for Lord Krishna during our childhood. Today, I am making the same bhog for Him. Today is also the birthday of my niece Kadambari, so on this occasion, I wish everyone a very happy Janmashtami.”
In the video, Kangana Ranaut is seen dressed in a simple white traditional outfit. She kept her look understated, wearing a small bindi and traditional earrings.
She is seen standing in the kitchen and stirring a large pan containing the festive prasad for Janmashtami celebrations.
Kangana Ranaut’ has always expressed her spritual side. In fact her interest in India’s spritual and cultural traditions have been often seen reflecting in her fashion choices.
During the promotional tour of her film ‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata’, she used her appearances to showcase Indian handloom and textile traditions, wearing sarees representing different regions of the country.
Her promotional wardrobe included a Kanjeevaram, Odisha’s Kotpad, Maharashtra’s Paithani and Gujarat’s Patan Patola, among other traditional drapes.
