Karnataka Sting Operation Row: Ravi CT Seeks Arrests, Demands Full Disclosure

Bengaluru: Former Minister and Legislative Council Member Dr. Ravi C.T. has demanded that the full truth—regarding who is behind the sting operation, who orchestrated it, and for what purpose it was conducted—be revealed to the people of the state.

Speaking to the media in Bengaluru, he raised several questions concerning the investigation into the sting operation. He insisted that if a sting operation has indeed taken place, its origin must first be traced. He urged for a comprehensive investigation to determine where it began, who commissioned it, and who actually carried it out.

“There is discussion about those who procured the mobile phones and SIM cards and uploaded the material. But why is the identity of the person who *actually* conducted the sting operation not being revealed? Is there a fear that disclosing their name could lead to a shift in power? It must also be clarified why Siddaramaiah was targeted,” he stated.

“Allegations have surfaced that an individual named Pandey took a mobile phone to H.D. Kumaraswamy’s residence and exchanged it. Yet, the fundamental question—who exactly carried out the sting?—remains unanswered. Why haven’t the perpetrators been arrested? Who is providing them with protection?” he asked. He demanded that the individuals responsible be arrested and interrogated to bring the truth of the case to light. Responding to a question about the motive behind this conspiracy, he stated that in politics, there is rarely a single reason; there could be several. He remarked that had the responsibility for this investigation been entrusted to him, he would have uncovered the truth. However, the task of investigation has been assigned neither to him nor to those raising these questions; it is up to those currently conducting the investigation to provide an answer.

The Modi Government’s Goal: Transforming Youth into Job Creators:

Speaking on the creation of employment opportunities for the youth, Dr. Ravi C.T. noted that the current education system places a strong emphasis on skill training. He explained that if young people acquire the necessary skills, they can become job creators themselves, rather than having to wander in search of employment.

He pointed out that the system prevalent during British rule prioritized obtaining a degree and subsequently applying for jobs. In contrast, the objective of the Modi government is not to produce job seekers, but to cultivate job creators. This, he said, highlights the fundamental difference between the vision of ‘British India’ and the vision of ‘Modi’s India.’

To this end, initiatives such as ‘Startup India,’ ‘Standup India,’ the ‘Mudra Yojana,’ and ‘Skill India’ have been implemented. The underlying vision of these schemes is for the youth to become self-reliant and develop the capacity to generate employment.

There was a time when India was one of the wealthiest nations in the world. There was a global demand for the skills of Indians, as well as for their muslin fabrics and handicrafts. There is a need to revive this legacy by integrating it with modern technology. He expressed confidence that if a touch of modernity is added to these traditional skills, India will once again emerge as a magnificent nation.
