KCR to Visit Telangana Districts, Extend Support to Drought-Affected Farmers

Hyderabad,: K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), President of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and former Chief Minister, is slated to embark on a visit to several districts of Telangana on March 31. His primary agenda is to assess the distress faced by farmers due to crop drying caused by inadequate irrigation water and to offer solace to those affected by the drought.

Popularly known as KCR, Rao’s itinerary includes visits to Jangaon, Suryapet, and Nalgonda districts, where he plans to interact directly with farmers grappling with the ramifications of the drought.

In a similar vein, K.T. Rama Rao, former minister and BRS Working President, undertook a field inspection in Rajanna Sircilla district on Thursday. He expressed concern over the hardships faced by farmers, attributing them to the policies implemented by the Congress government.

Rama Rao pointedly criticized the current government, attributing the prevailing drought conditions not to natural factors but to the policies enforced by the Congress administration.

KCR’s decision to personally visit these districts comes against the backdrop of recent setbacks experienced by his party, which is still recuperating from its defeat in the recent Assembly elections.
