Thiruvananthapuram: North and central Kerala are currently experiencing heavy rainfall, prompting a yellow alert in six districts. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a statement indicating that the region will continue to receive heavy rainfall, ranging from 64.5mm to 115.5mm, until July 26. This weather pattern is a result of a low-pressure formation in the Bay of Bengal, which is affecting the northern and central districts of the state.
According to the latest forecast on Sunday, isolated areas in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Idukki, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, and Malappuram districts are likely to experience light rainfalls until July 26. Residents and authorities in the affected regions are advised to stay vigilant and take necessary precautions to ensure safety during this period of heavy rainfall.
