Maha BJP Chief Slams Congress Guarantees as “Chinese Goods”

Mumbai: Keshav Upadhye, the Chief Spokesperson of the Maharashtra BJP, launched a scathing critique against the Congress on Thursday, likening their guarantees to “Chinese goods” with dubious quality. He asserted that the people of the nation would not be swayed by the Congress’ latest promises, which, he claimed, only served the interests of one family.

In contrast, Upadhye expressed confidence in the Modi government’s commitment to national development, emphasizing that the electorate would overwhelmingly support it. He derided the Congress leaders for what he perceived as their persistent attempts to garner votes through deceptive tactics, including slogans like ‘Mohabbat ki Dukan’ (Shop of Love).

Highlighting Prime Minister Modi’s track record of delivering on development promises, Upadhye contended that the BJP remains dedicated to uplifting the poor, youth, women, and farmers of the country. He criticized the Congress for failing to alleviate poverty despite their historical promises, alleging that the party’s rule had only exacerbated the nation’s economic woes.

Moreover, Upadhye accused the Congress of exploiting farmers by pretending to offer debt relief while burdening them with further indebtedness. He accused the Congress rulers of enriching themselves at the expense of the nation’s agricultural sector, leaving farmers trapped in cycles of debt.
