Mobile Internet Services Suspended in Haryana’s Nuh District Until August 28

Nuh (Haryana): In a bid to maintain public order and avert potential disruptions to peace, Haryana has taken the step of suspending mobile internet services in the Nuh district until August 28. This directive, issued by the Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department, seeks to ensure the security of both public and private assets. Those found contravening these orders will face legal consequences under pertinent regulations.

Dhirendra Khadgata, the Deputy Commissioner, underlined the rationale behind this decision. The move comes as a precautionary measure in light of imminent unrest, anxiety, and apprehension of property damage surrounding the upcoming Shobha Yatra scheduled for August 28, organized by a few entities. To further bolster security, the district administration has also invoked Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC), effectively forbidding gatherings of four or more individuals in a specified area.

This strategic approach underscores the authorities’ commitment to maintaining peace and security while minimizing the potential for any untoward incidents. The suspension of mobile internet services, alongside the imposition of Section 144, showcases the proactive efforts taken to uphold public welfare and safeguard vital resources.
