NIA finds 24 Bangladeshi immigrants living illegally in Bengaluru

New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has uncovered 24 Bangladeshi immigrants residing unlawfully in Bengaluru. According to police sources, NIA officials identified three of these individuals, namely Khaleel Chaparasi, Abdul Khadir, and Mohammad Zaheed, through a search operation conducted in the Bellandur area of the city on Monday.

Initial inquiries have disclosed that these immigrants, who are currently held by the Bellandur police, have been living illegally in India since 2011. Their entry into the country was facilitated by a broker whom they paid Rs 20,000.

Remarkably, these unauthorized immigrants were able to acquire official documents such as Aadhaar cards, ration cards, and other government-issued identification.

Local law enforcement has filed a First Information Report (FIR) under the provisions of the Foreigners Act, specifically Sections 14 (C) and 14 (A), as well as the Passports Act. A comprehensive investigation into the matter is currently underway.
