Nuh: Amid ongoing police operations addressing the recent turmoil, a total of 57 First Information Reports (FIRs) have been filed and 170 individuals apprehended by multiple specialized teams under the Nuh Police jurisdiction as of Tuesday. The efforts are part of a broader crackdown on those responsible for the outbreak of violence. The Haryana Congress’ 10-member delegation, including figures such as Rajya Sabha member Deepender Singh Hooda and State Congress leader Chaudhary Udaybhan, encountered a roadblock enforced by the police, preventing their entry into Nuh.
In Nuh, a measured easing of curfew hours is set to be implemented, granting respite from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., alongside extended operational hours for banks and ATMs, which will remain accessible until 3 p.m. Simultaneously, police teams continue their pursuit of those involved in the instigation of unrest. Special Investigation Teams (SITs) have been commissioned to meticulously examine the cases related to the communal clashes in Nuh. Each SIT will oversee the investigation of five FIRs, ensuring a comprehensive inquiry.
Among the matters under investigation are the provocative videos shared by individuals such as Monu Manesar, a self-styled cow vigilante. The violence initially erupted during a procession in Nuh on July 31, prompting the imposition of a curfew in the area, coupled with a suspension of internet services to maintain order.
