Pakistan-Linked Drone Intercepted in Punjab: Smuggling Attempt Thwarted

New Delhi: In a joint operation conducted by the Border Security Force (BSF) and the police on the outskirts of Mahwa village in Punjab, a drone originating from Pakistan was discovered. The recovery took place during morning hours based on specific information about the presence of a drone in the area.

The recovered drone was identified as a Quadcopter manufactured in China. The BSF reported that this discovery marks yet another attempt by smugglers to use drones for the illicit transportation of narcotics, a scheme that was successfully thwarted.

This incident highlights the ongoing challenges faced by law enforcement agencies in monitoring and preventing drone-based smuggling activities in the region.
