New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to commence a two-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) starting today, where he will engage in bilateral discussions with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The agenda includes fostering and strengthening the strategic partnership between the two nations and exchanging perspectives on regional and global matters of mutual interest. This marks the fifth meeting between Prime Minister Modi and President Al Nahyan in the last eight months.
According to Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra, Prime Minister Modi will also engage with UAE’s Vice President, Prime Minister, and Defence Minister, and participate in the World Government Summit 2024 in Dubai, where he will deliver a special keynote address.
Additionally, PM Modi will inaugurate the ‘Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha’ (BAPS) Mandir, the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi, and address the Indian community at an event in Zayed Sports City, Abu Dhabi. This visit marks Prime Minister Modi’s seventh to the UAE since 2015, and the third in the last eight months.
