President, PM Honor Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Anniversary of His Passing

New Delhi: On the occasion of the anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s demise, President [Name] and Prime Minister [Name] paid their respects in a tribute to the late statesman. The commemorative event, marked by a wreath-laying ceremony and a prayer gathering, witnessed the presence of various esteemed figures including Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari.

Namita Bhattacharya, the daughter of the former Prime Minister, along with her husband Ranjan Bhattacharya, also honored his memory with a floral tribute at the memorial.

Leaders representing numerous constituents of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), among them Praful Patel, M. Thambidurai, and Jitan Ram Manjhi, converged at the ‘Sadaiv Atal’ memorial to pay their respects.

Participation in the wreath-laying ceremony and prayer meeting extended to Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh as well.

Prior to these events, Prime Minister Modi conveyed his sentiments through a post on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), stating, “I stand united with India’s 1.4 billion citizens in remembering the illustrious Atal Ji on his Punya Tithi. His visionary leadership profoundly impacted India’s advancement. His instrumental role spanned multiple sectors, steering the nation into the 21st century.”
