Itanagar: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, currently on the ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ (BJNY) for over two months, accused the BJP of dividing the country along lines of caste, creed, and religion. The BJNY, initiated by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge in Manipur, entered Arunachal Pradesh from Assam on Saturday.
During interactions in Doimukh, Gandhi claimed that the BJP exacerbates discord by encouraging enmity among people based on religion, caste, and language. He alleged that the BJP prioritizes the interests of a few millionaires at the expense of the poor and Dalits, who suffer due to the misgovernance of the Modi government.
Highlighting the purpose of the ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra,’ Gandhi emphasized the Congress’s commitment to uniting people and addressing their grievances and economic challenges. He recalled the Congress-led government’s decision to grant full-fledged statehood to Arunachal Pradesh on February 20, 1987.
