India’s First Biodiversity Village ‘Atlas’ Inaugurated in Goa
Panaji: The inaugural ceremony of India's first biodiversity village, 'Atlas,' took place in Goa. The event was a collaborative effort between Mayem Vaiguinim Grampanchayat, the Biodiversity Management Committee, Mayem Vaiguinim, and Mayem Panlot Sangh.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced during the event that the government plans to develop a biodiversity atlas encompassing all 191 panchayats in the state. He emphasized the government's commitment to offering the necessary support for preserving and maintaining biodiversity.
