Fake cancer medicine manufacturing unit busted in Delhi
New Delhi: In a significant crackdown, the Delhi Police has dismantled an illegal unit engaged in the production of counterfeit cancer chemotherapy medicines. The operation led to the arrest of seven individuals, including two employees of a reputed hospital, uncovering a sophisticated network involved in manufacturing and distributing fake life-saving drugs.
A senior police official revealed that raids conducted in the Moti Nagar area and other locations resulted in the seizure of spurious cancer medicines worth Rs 4 crore, encompassing seven international brands and two Indian brands.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Viphil Jain, Suraj Shat, Neeraj Chauhan, Parvez, Komal Tiwari, Abhinay Kohli, and Tushar Chauhan.
