Gadag: Three of family commit suicide
Gadag: A harrowing incident unfolded in Gonal village, located in Lakshmeshwar taluk of Karnataka's Gadag district, where three members of a family, including two women, took their own lives amidst a dispute over a tractor loan.
The deceased, identified as 49-year-old Renuka Teli, her son 22-year-old Manjunath Teli, and her maternal aunt 47-year-old Savakka Teli, succumbed to the devastating consequences of the family discord.
Police reports indicate that the tragic event stemmed from a disagreement between mother Renuka and son Manjunath regarding the repayment of a loan taken out to purchase a tractor, amounting to Rs 4 lakh from a bank.
