BJP Leader Ashoka Accuses Karnataka Govt of Bias in Handling Minority Cases
Bengaluru: Leader of Opposition in the Karnataka Assembly, R. Ashoka, made damning allegations on Monday, claiming that the Congress-led government in the state has issued directives to the police to suppress cases involving minorities while swiftly acting on those involving the majority community.
Ashoka asserted, "There is a clear directive from the government to suppress cases against minorities and to expedite action when cases are filed against the majority community."
Expressing disappointment as a citizen of Karnataka, Ashoka questioned the consequences if allegations of appeasement in recent controversial incidents, such as the Pakistan Zindabad slogan row and the Rameshwaram Café blast case in Bengaluru, were proven true.
