PM Modi Visits Veerabhadra Temple in Lepakshi, Andhra Pradesh
Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the historic Veerabhadra Temple at Lepakshi in Sri Sathya Sai district, Andhra Pradesh, on Tuesday. The Prime Minister, who arrived in Puttaparthi from Delhi, made his way to Lepakshi, a site of significance in the Hindu epic Ramayana.
According to belief, the giant eagle Jatayu, in pursuit of Goddess Sita after her abduction by Ravan, reached Lepakshi. The temple holds historical and cultural importance.
During his visit, the Prime Minister engaged in various rituals, chanted the 'Shri Ram Jai Ram' bhajan, and listened to verses from the Ranganatha Ramayana in Telugu.
