Weight loss diets – Atkins diet:

The Atkins diet, formulated by Cardiologist Robert Atkins in the 1960s, challenges the conventional belief that fat is the primary cause of health issues and weight gain. Instead, it centers around the idea that carbohydrates play a more significant role in these problems.

The core principle of this diet involves consuming ample amounts of fat, moderate protein, and minimal carbohydrates. Remarkably, there are no restrictions on fat intake, and individuals following the Atkins diet need not bother with calorie counting or portion measurement. At its initial stages, the diet severely limits carbohydrate consumption, with a specific tracking approach called net carbs, where the total carb content is reduced by the fiber grams.
